Each building block creates a connection between the street space in the quarter and the quiet, green inner courtyards of blocks A, B and C. On the street side, the facades are urban and clearly structured, on the courtyard side they are more porous and open. This theme is varied across the building blocks.

The residential building A08-09 is very prominent and visible from afar due to its exposed location on Mittenmangplatz. As envisaged in the master plan, the two gables are oriented orthogonally to the alley between Körnerplatz and Mittenmangplatz. By folding out the upper floors of building part A08, the geometry of the double gables is clarified on the one hand and the “special handling of corner houses” desired in the design guidelines is taken into account on the other. On the inner courtyard side, the apartments in the building are accessed via an open collonade structure, which also serves as a private outdoor space. The entire building is planned in an anthracite to black color scheme (clinker, roof and other metal cladding). Only the windows and shutter boxes stand out from the aluminum colors.

The structured volumes of the office and commercial building B05.2-07 are set slightly forward and backward on the street side. This creates a plasticity in reference to sculptures by Eduardo Chillida and also takes into account the small scale envisaged in the master plan. On the courtyard side, the building steps down to ensure the scale of the adjacent residential buildings. On the terrace steps are plant troughs with lush greenery that become part of the green courtyard world. The entire brick facade is a uniform red-orange with anthracite-yellow shading. Door and window frames and any metalwork are planned in powder-coated oxide red aluminum, giving the facades a monolithic appearance in approximation to the brick color. Only the volume projections and the different window widths differentiate the image of the individual facade sections.

In its appearance and detailing, the residential building B05.1 is based on the building B05.2-07 and in this way forms a unit with its neighbors. Staggering and eave lines are designed to match the neighboring building. Only the floor heights and window formats are different due to the requirements for office and residential uses.

The cubature of the residential building C08 is based on the neighboring buildings C09 and C10. With their gable facades, they shape the appearance of the street space between Körnerplatz and Mittenmangplatz. The building presents itself to the street space with a clearly structured facade. The recessed entrance area provides access to the two store units on the second floor as well as the main entrance to the apartments.
