Fulvio Pelli, the president of the Liberal Party of Switzerland, published „37 Gründe, liberal zu sein“ (37 reasons to be a liberal) to illustrate the diversity of people and their opinions which altogether make up liberalism. This contribution by Markus Schaefer juxtaposes the claim of individual liberty in the Western world with the barriers being erected separating our individualized lifestyle from the rest of the World.
